Saffron is a theater director with bases in Houston, TX and Los Angeles, CA. She is an SDC Associate Member and recently completed an SDCF Director Fellowship on La Cage aux Folles with Robert O'Hara at New York City Center Encores!.

Her directing and assistant directing credits include work at New York City Center, New Conservatory Theatre Center, the New Zealand Fringe Festival, and the Women's Theatre Festival. Her new play development work spans Playground SF, Billie Holiday Theatre/FSWW, and NTI at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center.

Saffron trained at Sarah Lawrence College (BA in Theatre and Computer Science), the National Theater Institute at the O'Neill, the British American Drama Academy in London, and the Kennedy Center. She also works as a web developer, building sites for organizations including Stanford University programs, medical nonprofits, and arts organizations.
